Other Applications - NOD32 AntiVirus

What can we say. The most prestigious virus testing organisation around 'The Virus Bulletin' has tested NOD32 on all platforms for the last seven years and has not found a single instance when it let through an In The Wild Virus (industry language for the viruses we hear about). Imagine that, SEVEN years and nothing getting through. 38 VB100% Awards. No other product has got even close. We rightly scoffed at this, but since loading it at our office and some clients, we have had no viruses getting through. Incredible. We've even reset the settings to show when it has intercepted a virus as clients did not believe it was working !. NOD32 can do this because it does not rely on virus definition files (the files that list all viruses) to operate. NOD32 has a ‘virtual play area’ where it quickly looks at new threats. After all it it walks and talks like a virus, it probably is.

Speed – NOD32 is so fast it hardly impacts your network. This shows up in every test of competing anti virus products. For example, in the June 2003 tests on XP machines it was 4x as fast as Norton, 2x as fast as Sophos and up to 50x as fast as some products. That means whilst NOD32 may take 0.1sec to scan, other products will take up to 5.0sec !. People often turn off virus checkers because "it slows down our network". Well there is no need with NOD32.

Comprehensive – SEVEN years and no ITW virus has got through. 38 VB100% Awards. No other product in the world has got even close. In the June 2003 tests on XP machines, Grisoft let through over 450 viruses and Sophos 86. One product let through over 11,000 !. You only need 1 virus to ruin your network. Oh yes and it covers, Trojans, Spyware, Adware and Riskware - so you don't need any other product !

Working for you – NOD32 works for you, not against you. For example, you are not asked if a program should be run or whether to accept a file or if you would like to accept an update. NOD32 does these things for you. If the file has a virus it will say so. You do not have to exclude an exe from being scanned because it does not like it. You hardly notice it’s existence. We won't bore you with why, but NOD32 does not need to download as often as other products. When it does, the download is only 40K, 60K or 100K. Hardly noticeable. It costs less than all the others as well
